Related: Western Union →No. Mythri Forex deals in currency notes only. We do not issue foreign coins when you buy currency, and we cannot buy coins back when you sell unused foreign currency after returning to India. If you are travelling home with loose change, it is worth spending it before you fly, since only notes can be exchanged at our branches.

Related: Travel/Forex Cards →Our typical education-fee payment process is designed to be completed within one working day, subject to complete and valid documentation, correct university payment details, successful verification, and bank processing.
Related: Student University Fee Payment →Depending on the destination, transfer type, payout method, verification, and applicable Western Union processing requirements, transfers can be available immediately or very quickly for eligible transactions.
Related: Western Union →Both have a place, and many travellers carry a mix of the two. A forex card lets you spend electronically without carrying large amounts of physical cash, can be reloaded if you need more funds while abroad, and is useful for card-accepting merchants, hotels, and online bookings. Foreign currency cash is better for smaller everyday spends, destinations or vendors that don't accept cards, tipping, and situations where you want funds in hand immediately without depending on card networks or ATMs. Mythri Forex offers both services at all three branches, so you can decide the mix that suits your travel plans and load or purchase accordingly.
Related: Travel/Forex Cards →Depending on your travel circumstances, you may need a valid Indian Passport, valid PAN Card, valid Visa (where applicable), and confirmed round-trip flight tickets (particularly where a pre-issued visa is required). Other supporting documents may apply based on the transaction and applicable regulations.
Related: Foreign Currency Exchange →Commonly required documents include your PAN card (mandatory for every outward remittance), valid identity and address proof, passport, visa (where applicable), recipient's bank account details, beneficiary information, and supporting documents explaining the purpose of the transfer. You will also complete Form A2, the application cum declaration under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, and the FEMA declaration at the branch. The remaining documents depend on the purpose you declare.
Related: International Money Transfer →You will typically need your recipient's full legal name, their residential address, their bank account number, their bank name, and their SWIFT/BIC code. Some countries or banks may require additional details as per local banking requirements. We recommend confirming these details directly from your recipient's bank statement or banking app before visiting our branch, as incorrect information can delay your transfer.
Related: International Money Transfer →For a standard foreign currency sale transaction, you need to provide your Passport and PAN Card. Our team will verify the documents and the foreign currency before completing the transaction. We buy back currency notes only, foreign coins cannot be exchanged.
Related: Foreign Currency Exchange →Students typically need a valid Indian Passport, PAN Card, university admission/offer letter, university fee invoice or payment request, university bank/payment details, and other relevant education-related documents.
Related: Student University Fee Payment →You generally need the transfer/reference code provided by the sender, along with the required identity documentation. Visit Mythri Forex with these details and our team will guide you through the verification and collection process.
Related: Western Union →No. If the total amount payable exceeds ₹50,000, payment must be made through bank transfer. For amounts of ₹50,000 or less, cash, UPI, or bank transfer are all available. The limit cannot be worked around by splitting a purchase: all purchases made within any 30-day period are treated as a single transaction for this rule.
Related: Foreign Currency Exchange →No. Unlike currency-purchase transactions, student university-fee payments must be transferred through the applicable bank/remittance channel even when the amount is below ₹50,000.
Related: Student University Fee Payment →Under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, a resident individual can draw up to USD 250,000 of foreign exchange in a financial year, combined across all permitted purposes rather than fresh for each transaction. Within that, physical foreign currency, notes and coins combined, can be sold to a traveller only up to the equivalent of USD 3,000, and any balance is taken on a prepaid forex card. Mythri Forex issues currency notes only. The amount available to you also depends on the purpose of travel, applicable foreign-exchange regulations, your documentation, and currency availability.
Related: Foreign Currency Exchange →Your transaction may include the applicable foreign exchange rate, GST on the relevant forex transaction/service components, and a forex transaction fee. The final amount payable depends on the applicable exchange rate, currency, transaction amount, GST, and forex transaction fee.
Related: Foreign Currency Exchange →Mythri Forex does not set a fixed internal maximum on international money transfers. The amount you can send depends on applicable Indian foreign-exchange regulations (such as the Liberalised Remittance Scheme), KYC requirements, the purpose of your transfer, banking procedures, and your supporting documentation. Our team will confirm what applies to your specific transaction when you visit the branch.
Related: International Money Transfer →A card load draws on the same Liberalised Remittance Scheme entitlement as a currency purchase, up to USD 250,000 in a financial year, combined across all permitted purposes. Because physical foreign currency is capped at the equivalent of USD 3,000 per traveller, counting notes and coins together, a larger travel budget is usually loaded onto the card rather than carried as cash. Card-provider loading limits, documentation, and transaction eligibility also apply.
